PlyLoom / What’s new
What’s new
Changes in the app by version, newest first. Map files stay compatible: a new version opens everything earlier ones saved.
0.10.9 — 5 October 2026
- A prompt = a base + a task. The base depends on what comes back: a new map, edits to the map, or a result from the map. The task is the text at the end of the prompt: a ready-made one (Explore a topic, Answer open questions, Check doubtful claims, Find contradictions, A report from the map, Instructions for an agent…) or your own — you see it and can edit it.
- Get a result from the map — a third choice in Working with AI: a report, Q&A, instructions for an agent or a checklist from the map. The document stays with you; the map does not change.
- Questions in every map: the node type Question in the palette and the relation answers; the ready-made tasks keep source and confidence in the attributes source and confidence.
- Unreviewed edits are kept: a list put aside and applied edits not yet accepted survive a reload and go into a downloaded .plyloom, so the review can continue later.
0.10.8 — 5 October 2026
- In English, frame cards and counters say “1 relation”, not “1 edges”; word forms are fixed in the sheet header, in All-to-1 and in the sheet panel.
- The guide has a picture of the edits bar and a node’s decision; the article about edits has two more pictures and exact picture sizes.
0.10.7 — 5 October 2026
- Help → Working with AI replaces “AI prompt” — one scheme of exchange for every case. The scheme starts from what is really open — an empty project or a map — and the switches set what we do (a new map from scratch, or refining the open one), who works (an AI chat or a colleague) and what the AI gets (the whole map or a sheet with its neighbours). If a new map replaces the open one, the result of the scheme says so. The scheme “now → goes out → who works → comes back → result” and the numbered steps with buttons adapt to the choice.
- Whole, a part or changes only — labels on the scheme show what exactly goes out and what comes back. The answer can come back from the clipboard or as a file.
- An AI answer with a new map is pasted directly, without saving it to a file: the usual preview opens. A whole map pasted through Paste an AI answer… makes PlyLoom ask: open it as new, or compare it with the open one.
- The prompt for one sheet now really carries only that sheet and its direct neighbours; before, the whole connected part of the map went along.
0.10.3 — 5 October 2026
- Accept or reject — like tracked changes in a text editor. Applied edits stay marked until you accept or reject them: all at once with Accept all and Reject all in the bar at the bottom, or node by node with Accept and Reject in the properties panel. Reject all brings removed items back and leaves your own edits made since untouched.
- One bar for one set of edits: where they came from (“Edits from AI · …” or “Edits from file · …”), the mark colours (green for new, amber for changed), ‹ › through changed nodes on every sheet, a titled list of what was removed, Dim the rest.
- The list of edits is not lost. Later leaves it in the bar; Project → Back to the edits does the same. Applying rejects the unticked items. Reject all drops the list without applying it; without opening the list, after a question.
- Items naming a missing sheet go last, and the file comparison window is called Edits from a file.
0.10.0 — 4 October 2026
New
- Edits item by item. Project → Compare with a file… and Project → Paste an AI answer… list the differences by sheet: + add, ~ change, − remove. A changed text is shown word by word. You tick what to accept; applying is one Undo step. More in the article.
- Conflicts and dependencies. An edit that expects a value the project no longer holds is marked as a conflict and left unticked. An item that needs another one does not apply without it.
- Compare with current in the preview that opens a
.plyloom, instead of replacing the project. - Marks on the map. After applying, new nodes are outlined in green and changed ones in amber; Dim the rest leaves only them in view.
- An Extend this project prompt on the AI prompt page: it sends the model the project, or one sheet with its neighbours, and asks for edits only.
- Version fingerprints. A downloaded file remembers the fingerprint of its version and of those it came from — fingerprints only, no earlier content. From them PlyLoom tells a continuation of your version from an older copy and from a copy edited alongside yours; for the latter the common version comes from your browser.
- A new guide article: Edits item by item: comparing and AI answers.
Changed
- The application file is lighter: 2.76 MB instead of 3.18 (1.56 MB compressed). Help pictures sit in a separate block read when Help opens, so the canvas appears sooner.
- React is the only third-party code left inside the file. The long frame animation stays on the website; the app shows its first frame.
Fixed
- Word forms in the contents, the overview, the stack, the frame and the counters.
- The question before deleting a node counts relations correctly; no more “1 edges”.
- The line legend describes the 0.9 frame instead of the 0.8 arrows.
- After a relation is created, the hint says its type and label are changed by clicking the line.
- The overview is called Sheet overview everywhere, as in the guide.
- On a phone the toolbar buttons no longer overlap, and the view tabs scroll sideways.
0.9.1 — 2 October 2026
- The frame keeps at least 60% of the window for the sheet and shows up to 16 neighbouring sheets: groups fold into plates, the rest go to “More”, a list where they can be pinned to the frame.
- The Side references menu: fold all, reset, a list of sheets; the Sheets filter hides sheets from the frames and, on request, from the overview.
- A click on a line selects the relation: type, label, arrow, delete; Del deletes relations and nodes; the node editor changes the type.
- The user guide inside the app and on the website is one and the same text, with search and “See also” links.
0.9 — 1 October 2026
- Undo and redo — buttons and Ctrl+Z, Ctrl+Shift+Z, Ctrl+Y (⌘ on a Mac), up to 30 steps.
- “+” on a card unfolds it for reading while neighbours move aside on screen; the pencil ✎ opens an editor over the map.
- A frame around the sheet, pinned to the window edges: nodes of neighbouring sheets lie on it in groups.
- Sheet overview: “Selected only”, sheets fold down to their headers. Spread: two and three sheets one under another.
- A grouped node palette with search; drag a type straight onto the sheet. Drag a relation from a dot on a card.
